Hi Aaron, I have been a subscriber for a couple months but just read you this past weekend and it blew me away. i am going to go back and read all of them ASAP. I have already become a fan. Keep sharing your insights and impact ppl in a wonderful way. Thank you!
I went antiquing this weekend. I just look. I like learning about old things. But to look at all of the massive furniture, totally useless oddities (mixed in with the useful), you realize we are steeped in a culture of having and choice. We have stuff, often useless stuff and we have choice.
I am sad when the grocery no longer sells my favorite frozen pizza. But how disturbing is that thought?! Frozen foods to choose from. We have so much more than many of the world's people.
It's insane, isn't it? Aisles and aisles of stuff. Sometimes I feel like a walking wallet, that my patriotic duty is just to buy and discard, over and over again. It's a terrifying feeling.
I wanted to make a concise reference to living in the moment, doing one's best with today's tasks and preparing for the future and not worrying excessively about it if one has prepared for it. My implication was spending a hundred grand is not my idea of doing one's daily work in a righteous way. Sorry if I was obtuse.
Probably the best article I’ve read on this topic so far! Outstanding! I’m a new subscribed, glad I joined your mailing list!
Thanks so much Dan! Makin' my day in so many ways :)

"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Mt 6:34
I'm not sure of your thought process here Jack! I'd love to know how you made the connection to that verse from my work :)
Dear Aaron,
I wanted to make a concise reference to living in the moment, doing one's best with today's tasks and preparing for the future and not worrying excessively about it if one has prepared for it. My implication was spending a hundred grand is not my idea of doing one's daily work in a righteous way. Sorry if I was obtuse.
Best wishes,
Jack
Got it, thanks man!
I am 67-years -old. I need less and have less than ever before. I wish I had grasped that understanding at your age.
