Hello, hello everyone! I’ve been hard at work on the back end of The Well-Lived Life, creating some exciting new things (like the shiny new Instagram page, @the_well_lived_life). There are some exciting updates coming in next week’s Friday Fun Flier!
Today, I wanted to pull together and have a discussion! I’ve been thinking about the idea of struggle. Mark Manson, (author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck) said:
“Who you are is defined by the values you are willing to struggle for":
So today’s question is this:
What’s worth the struggle for you? In other words, what doesn’t feel like a struggle to you? What are you totally happy to struggle for/in service of?
I’m so excited to read these because you guys always come up with awesome answers! Just hit “reply” below and let me know what you think!
May your week ahead be filled with love and light,
Hi there: Since 'struggle' has been my default approach to so much, I am taking a closer look at what is the actual source and nature of what I experience as struggle. This inquiry is helping me distinguish between living and fighting against an integral component of living....and then also clearing away internal unneeded add-on struggles to living.
always only happens in the moment that I actually notice the "struggling" happening -- as a body tension pattern.......and then I whisper a magic phrase, which cuts right through to the tension-maker in my: "remember, you can take the time....to be human."
Ooooh! "Remember you can take the time to be human." I love that! I've been dealing with various shades of anxiety recently, so that's a good one to put into practice in my own life :)
In my professional life, I am willing to struggle on behalf of individuals whom are underserved within a given health ecosystem. I push the envelope every day to ensure we are working to meet patients/stakeholders where they are.

Beautiful Danie! So important that we re-frame. How have you managed to clear away unnecessary add-ons?
