HEY!
I hope you’re awakening with a little bit of hope in your heart. If not, here are 35 hopeful facts I found :)
#22 is my favorite: “The word for ‘penguin’ in Mandarin translates to ‘business goose’.”
REALLY hoping that’s true. If you know for a fact that it’s not true, please don’t tell me!
-The update:
I’m still teaching yoga at Wild Child Village, and I’m about to head back to Durga’s Tiger School in Quito (where I just finished my 500-hour Yoga Teacher credential) to teach Acroyoga!
Could not be more excited to share something that’s brought me so much joy and happiness with the world!
-A fantastic book series I just finished:
The Mistborn Trilogy
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH it’s so good. It’s the kind of good where you can’t stop. I was up so late and missed so many sessions in my YTT because of this series.
You’ll love it if you love fantasy as much as I do. The world that Sanderson builds here is insane. The magic system, the depth of the characters, and the fact that the main character is female (uncommon in the world of fantasy) all add to a page-turning wonder.
It makes me want to put on a cloak and start roaming the city at night, dealing out vigilante justice.
I’ll just have to find a way to burn metal for magic powers first…
A great podcast interview that made me think:
Tim Ferriss and Terry Crews… THE SEQUEL!
I’ve talked several times about Terry’s first interview on The Tim Ferriss Show. If you haven’t listened to it, it’s a real gem! Terry opens up about so much and shows us a roadmap to being good humans.
In this sequel, Crews (who’s on the circuit promoting his new book) opens up more, speaking in-depth about his pornography addiction and the steps he took to escape the toxic, masculine culture he grew up in.
It’s interesting to hear him and his views post-covid. This interview is much more subdued but no less wise.
Enjoy!
Thanks for reading everyone! Have a blessed week.
